The Green House Surgery Achieves Carer Friendly GP Status

The Green House Surgery is the first GP surgery in South Tees to achieve Carer Friendly GP status. The initiative is funded by the local authorities and the NHS Integrated Care Board and is part of the overarching ‘Carers Strategy for South Tees’. Working in partnership with Susan Lee, Primary Care Co-ordinator from Teesside Mind, the surgery is leading the way for other local GP practices to follow suit.

Young Carers Support

Support for Young Carers

Some children and young people take on caring responsibilities at home due to a family member’s illness, disability, mental health needs, or substance misuse. These young carers often juggle school, appointments, and caring duties — and extra support can make a real difference.

If you are a young carer — or a parent or professional supporting one — help is available and young carers may benefit from support offered by external agencies and community services:
